The front foyer was covered with COLD tile, the same ones that surround the living room fireplace. On cold days it was freezing to step on them, so for a temporary fix we covered it in carpet held down with double sided tape. Ikea was having this great sale on laminate flooring, so I decided to install them right over the tile. Turned out pretty good, and very functional. Now do I wanna do this in the family room?

The kids love sock skating and racing cars on this surface!
